Introduction
Lavender Lodge is a self-catering accommodation set on the beautiful Longleat Estate in Wiltshire. The Lodge itself is situated down a country lane only 2 minutes car journey from Centre Parcs and Longleat as well as many other local attractions. The Lodge opened in August 2007 and whilst we aim to meet the means of every one of our guests, there are some features which might make access difficult for people with limited mobility. The bedrooms are on the first floor although there is a sofa bed available in the lounge however unfortunately there is no chair lift for the stairs. There is a downstairs toilet and wash-basin which accessible for a wheelchair but only to the entrance. Lavender Lodge has one-step before entering and a portable ramp is available if required. Doorways are standard width.
Pre-Arrival
Located off the A362 between Warminster and Frome.
Parking available outside the entrance of the Lodge with hard-standing for wheelchair users.
Our location in Wiltshire is relatively quiet although there is more traffic at peak hours/holidays.
Nearest General store and post-office is approximately 4 miles away in either Warminster or Frome.
Nearest bus-stop is located 1 mile away with the bus running every hour into the towns.
Nearest railway station is located at Frome or Warminster, both under 4 miles away.
Taxi's are available from the stations, local taxi companies available for transport from the Lodge.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
Please arrive after 3 o'clock on the start-date of your holiday.
Pin number will be given for a digital safe located owner's house next to Lavender Lodge allowing you to have key access.
Car parking available right outside Lavender Lodge on a shared drive with owner. (Shingle car park/drive level with road)
Hard standing for wheelchair access.
Main Entrance, Reception & Ticketing Area
10cm step outside Lodge front door with a 10 cm step over the rim of the French doors onto the decked area.
Owner will welcome you at some point during the first 24 hours of your stay at Lavender Lodge.
Public Areas - Hall, Stairs, Landing, Corridors etc
ront door leads to a small entrance hall and then onto an open plan lounge/ kitchen/ dining area.
Stair-case located in the kitchen area with 12 stairs and 1 handrail. It has closed wooden treads which are fully carpeted. Each stair is 72cms wide.
Guest bedroom accommodation is on the first-floor.
House is centrally heated and temperatures can be adjusted in each room.
Public Areas - Sitting room, lounges, lobbies etc
Lounge has a three piece suite consisting of 1 sofa and 2 arm chairs.
This room also has a television with built in freeview, HI-FI and DVD player.
The whole area is tiled but there is a large rug situated by the fire place.
A selection of local information leaflets, maps, DVD's and books are available.
Bedrooms & Sleeping Areas
The two bedrooms are located on the first floor and are carpeted.
The double bedroom has a television with a DVD player and free view.
We also provide a hair-dryer and an electric fan.
Our beds are made with synthetic duvets and pillows.
In the main bedroom there is a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, two bedside cabinets, two table lamps and a mirror.
Bedroom 1 is at the end of the landing after turning right at the top of the stairs. The doorway is not normal width at the top, having an angle fitting in with the apex of the roof.
This room has a 4ft 6ins double bed with access from both sides. The room also has one radiator which is thermostatically controlled.
Bedroom 2 is to the immediate right at the top of the stairs.
This room has a 'shorty' bunk-bed with one set of chest of drawers.
This room also has one radiator thermostatically controlled.
Bathroom, Shower-room & WC [Ensuite or Shared]
The bathroom has a bath with an over head shower, toilet and hand basin.
The bathroom also has a lino floor covering.
There is also one radiator which is thermostatically controlled.
Self-Catering Kitchen
This kitchen is fully fitted with a; oven, halogen hob, dishwasher, fridge with a freezer compartment, microwave, toaster and a washer dryer.
All crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment is provided.
Additional Information
Downstairs and the first floor landing are equipped with a smoke detector.
There is a water based fire extinguisher on the ground floor at the bottom of the stairs.
Powder fire extinguisher and a fire blanket is available in the kitchen.
In the event of a fire please vacate the building through fire exits indicated on the ground floor or using the fire ladder which is situated under bunk beds through the children.s bedroom window on the first floor.
Smoking is prohibited in the Lodge however smoking is allowed outside away from the building.
All electrical goods are to be switched off when Lodge is unattended by guests.
Mobile phone reception/signal at the house is weak.
